Part of a new range of pewter flasks. This one has an intricate tartan design. We have introduced a range of pewter hip, or drinking,
flasks. Pewter is an excellent material for flasks as it tarnishes more slowly than silver plated. Pewter is made predominantly from tin with antimony (to add lustre) and copper to strengthen it. In the past lead was added. This darkened the pewter. The pewter used today, and the solder, is lead free.
